Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

    Does the discussion relate the findings to existing literature?
    Are limitations of the study adequately discussed?
    Are the conclusions supported by the results?
    3. Scientific Quality
    Originality: Is the research original and innovative?
    Accuracy: Are the data accurate, reliable, and properly analyzed?
    Statistical Methods: Are statistical methods appropriate and well-documented?
    4. Ethical & Legal Considerations
    Ethics Approval: If the study involves human/animal subjects, is there evidence of proper ethical approvals?
    Conflict of Interest: Are potential conflicts of interest declared by the authors?
    Plagiarism: Does the manuscript appear to be free of plagiarism and appropriately reference previous work?
    5. Language & Presentation
    Grammar & Style: Is the language fluent and grammatically correct?
    Referencing: Are references accurate, up-to-date, and appropriate?
    6. Review Decision
    Recommendation:

    Accept as is
    Accept with minor revisions
    Major revisions required
    Reject
    Comments to the Authors: Provide constructive and detailed feedback to help the authors improve their manuscript.

Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines for Medico & Engineering Future Journal (MEFJ)

Authors submitting manuscripts to the Medico & Engineering Future Journal (MEFJ) should follow these guidelines to ensure the submission meets the journal’s bibliographic and formatting standards.

  • Title: Concise and informative, reflecting the key elements of the manuscript.
  • Author Information: Include the names of all authors, affiliations, and contact details (especially the corresponding author’s email).
  • Running Title: A short version of the title (max 50 characters).

1.3. Abstract

  • The abstract should be 250-300 words, summarizing the objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions.
  • Avoid references in the abstract.

1.4. Keywords

  • Include 4-6 keywords relevant to the paper’s subject to help with indexing.

1.5. Sections

Structure your manuscript with the following main sections:

2. References and Citation Formats

All submissions should follow APA or Vancouver citation styles (depending on the field of study). Ensure consistency throughout the manuscript.

2.1. APA Format (for Engineering and Social Sciences)

  • In-text citations: Include author(s) name(s) and year in parentheses.
    • Example: (Smith & Johnson, 2020)
  • Reference List: List all cited references at the end of the manuscript, alphabetized by author’s last name.

2.2. Vancouver Format (for Medical and Biomedical Research)

  • In-text citations: Use numbers in square brackets in the order of appearance in the text.

  • Reference List: Number references consecutively in the order they appear in the text.

3. Figures and Tables

3.1. Figures

  • Figures should be high resolution (minimum 300 DPI) and submitted separately as .jpeg, .png, or .tiff files.
  • Each figure should be clearly labeled and referred to in the text (e.g., "Figure 1 shows...").
  • Include figure captions below each figure.

3.2. Tables

  • Tables should be placed after references, or as separate files if complex.
  • Each table should have a clear title and numbered consecutively (e.g., "Table 1").

4. Ethics and Disclosures

  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Ethical Approval: For studies involving human or animal subjects, ethical approval should be obtained and stated in the methods section.
  • Funding: If the research was supported by funding, the funding source should be acknowledged.

5. Submission Process

Review Articles

Review Articles offer comprehensive and critical overviews of specific topics relevant to the journal’s focus. Both narrative and systematic reviews are accepted. All submissions in this section are peer-reviewed and must demonstrate clarity, depth, and scholarly rigor. Authors are expected to synthesize current knowledge, identify trends or gaps, and provide directions for future research.

Orginal Articles

Research Articles report original findings based on substantial experimental, computational, or theoretical investigations. All manuscripts in this section are peer-reviewed by at least two independent experts in the field, following a double-blind review process. Submissions must include clear objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions, and must adhere to international standards of ethical research and scientific integrity.

Case Reports


Case Reports present unique or rare clinical, biomedical, or engineering cases that offer novel insights or practical learning points. This section is peer-reviewed, and all submissions must be based on ethically obtained data with proper informed consent. Each report should include a concise background, detailed case description, and discussion of relevance or implications for practice.

Letters

Letters to the Editor provide a platform for readers to comment on articles previously published in the journal, offer constructive criticism, or highlight emerging issues and perspectives within the field. Submissions in this section are peer-reviewed at the discretion of the editorial team and must be concise, clear, and respectful. Letters should not exceed 800 words and may include a limited number of
