MEDICO & ENGINEERING FUTURE

MEFJ Editorial Team

Cognitive and Neural Engineering Section

This section of Medico & Engineering Future Journal (MEFJ) bridges the gap between cognitive neuroscience and biomedical engineering. Our aim is to promote research in neural signal processing, brain-computer interfaces, cognitive diagnostics, and neurotechnology-based medical devices.

Priority Focus Areas

  • Development of EEG/MEG-based diagnostic tools
  • Brain-machine interfaces and cognitive robotics
  • Neuro-rehabilitation engineering
  • Wearable neuro-sensing technologies
  • Signal analysis for emotion, stress, and cognition

Section Policy:

This section is dedicated to advancing research at the intersection of neuroscience, cognitive science, and engineering. It emphasizes the development of novel technologies and computational tools that enhance our understanding of brain function and support cognitive health.

Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Development of EEG/MEG-based diagnostic tools: For neurological and psychiatric disorders.
  • Brain-machine interfaces and cognitive robotics: Enabling direct neural control of devices and robotic systems.
  • Neuro-rehabilitation engineering: Assistive systems and stimulation-based therapies for recovery of cognitive and motor functions.
  • Wearable neuro-sensing technologies: Real-time brain activity monitoring in daily-life conditions.
  • Signal analysis for emotion, stress, and cognition: Using AI and advanced processing to extract mental states from neurophysiological data.

This section welcomes interdisciplinary research that bridges neural engineering with psychology, artificial intelligence, biomedical sciences, and clinical neuroscience.
